Schoolwide Learning Expectations
St. John Eudes Students have the opportunity to become:
A.
Active Christian in their Catholic
faith
1. Explain
Church teaching, Scripture, and Tradition, and
Sacraments
This applies to me by being baptized, receiving communion, and doing reconciliation.
2. Participate
meaningfully in worship, prayer, and the
Sacraments.
This applies to me by going to church every Sunday.
3. Follow the teachings of Christ
and the Ten Commandments.
This applies to me by having to follow all of the ten commandments.
4.
Express God's love through Christian service (social service and social
action)
This applies to me by praying and listening to God's word every day.
5. Apply the Six Pillars
of Character to their daily lives (Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility,
Fairness, Caring and Citizenship)
This applies to me by being a good student everywhere I go.
6. Educate themselves and others about justice, equity, and
peace
This applies to me by respecting everyone at the school and everywhere.
7. Practice
inclusiveness
This applies to me by including everyone nicely and not yelling at them.
8. Celebrate
cultural diversity
This applies to me by respecting everyone by their color and not saying bad stuff about them.
9. Engage in
respectful dialogue with people who have different
perspectives
This applies to me by not yelling at people who have different answers then I do.
10. Respect God's
creation
This applies to me by not stepping on bugs just for the fun of it because they are God's creatures.
B. College and Career Ready in the 21st
Century
1. Become
self-directed learners who formulate meaningful questions and effectively
seek out and use human print, and digital resources to address those questions.
This applies to me by paying attention and learning everyday.
2. Collaborate with
others in a respectful and productive way to complete
tasks
This applies to me by talking to others respectfully and getting tasks done.
3. Construct viable arguments by
using logical reasoning and citing precise, relevant
evidence
This applies to me by arguing with evidence that something is true.
4. Process, analyze,
interpret and evaluate quantitative and qualitative information while
maintaining an
open mind
This applies to me by paying attention even if the lesson is so boring.
5. Demonstrate the ability
to use multiple strategies to solve
problems.
This applies to me by having to use a lot of strategies instead of just doing one strategy.

carefully to improve general knowledge and discipline-specific
expertise
This applies to me by respecting everything and listening to everyone.
